A place to speak from wherever you are in the UK
Online psychotherapy offers a regular space to talk about what is happening in your life without travelling to a consulting room. I’m Micky Laurie, an integrative psychotherapist and Registered Member MBACP, BACP Register no. 422410. I offer individual online therapy for adults aged 18 and over who are physically in the United Kingdom during every session. Sessions cost £100 for 50 minutes, with a free 15-minute introductory call before deciding whether to begin.
What you might bring
You may want to explore relationships, anxiety, low mood, self-worth, identity or a difficult change. You do not need a diagnosis or a neatly defined problem. Sometimes the starting point is simply feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure how to describe what is wrong. We can begin with what you notice now and allow the focus to develop together.
A conversation, rather than a fixed programme
My integrative approach draws on humanistic, psychodynamic, existential and relational perspectives. This means paying attention to your experience, earlier patterns, present relationships and questions about meaning or choice. I contribute questions and reflections, and you can tell me when something feels useful or does not fit. We can review the focus as the work develops.
Preparing for an online session
We agree a suitable video platform and I send the connection details before the appointment. A private space, a stable internet connection and enough time without interruptions matter. Think about whether you can be overheard and whether your device feels comfortable to use for a 50-minute conversation. Please tell me about access or communication needs so we can discuss what is possible.
Considering suitability together
Online work may suit your circumstances, but convenience alone does not establish clinical suitability. The introductory conversation is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss whether this way of working feels appropriate. This practice offers online individual sessions only: there are no in-person, couples, child or international appointments. Therapy is not an emergency service.
Taking the first step
You can enquire without sending a detailed personal history. Appointments are arranged personally after we agree the details. I aim to acknowledge enquiries within approximately two working days. The free call carries no obligation to continue; if we decide to work together, the client agreement and privacy information explain the arrangements before therapy begins.
Eligibility, fees and getting started
This is online individual psychotherapy for adults aged 18 and over, physically in the UK during every session. Each 50-minute session costs £100. Reduced student fees may be agreed individually. A free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory call gives us a chance to discuss suitability. Calls and appointments are arranged personally.
