Micky Laurie Psychotherapy

Therapy for Anxiety and Overwhelm

Individual online integrative psychotherapy with Micky Laurie, Registered Member MBACP (BACP Register no. 422410), for adults aged 18+ physically in the UK during sessions. £100 per 50 minutes; free 15-minute introductory call.

When it is difficult to slow down

Constant worry, pressure or a sense of being on edge can leave little room to notice what you need. You might feel busy inside even when nothing obvious is happening. Therapy offers time to explore how anxiety and overwhelm feel for you, rather than assuming that everyone’s experience has the same cause or needs the same response.

Noticing your own experience

You may find yourself replaying conversations, anticipating what could go wrong or struggling to step away from responsibilities. Ordinary decisions might feel loaded, or rest might bring guilt rather than relief. These descriptions are invitations to reflect, not diagnostic criteria. You are welcome to begin with a less defined sense that life has become difficult to manage.

Looking beyond the immediate pressure

In integrative psychotherapy, we can be curious about the relationship between current demands, familiar expectations and earlier experiences. We might explore what it means to disappoint someone, ask for help or feel uncertain. Sometimes worry is closely tied to relationships or self-criticism; sometimes the starting point is a difficult situation in the present. We do not have to settle on one explanation.

Finding a pace together

There is no expectation that you arrive calm or explain everything clearly. I listen and offer reflections or questions where helpful. We can talk about how the session feels, including whether a subject is too much to approach at that moment. The aim is exploration and understanding; I cannot promise a particular outcome or a fixed number of sessions.

What this service offers

This is exploratory online psychotherapy, not an emergency service or a specialist diagnostic assessment. If you are seeking a particular treatment or an assessment, we can discuss whether another service would be more appropriate. You do not need a diagnosis to enquire, and an introductory call can help clarify what you are looking for.

Making room for online work

Sessions take place through an agreed video platform. A private setting and a reliable connection help protect time for the conversation. You can bring what has felt most present that week rather than prepare a formal account. We discuss the practical arrangements before beginning and review how the work feels as it continues.

Eligibility, fees and getting started

This is online individual psychotherapy for adults aged 18 and over, physically in the UK during every session. Each 50-minute session costs £100. Reduced student fees may be agreed individually. A free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory call gives us a chance to discuss suitability. Calls and appointments are arranged personally.
